Jewellery Repair Services
Our in-house goldsmith offers many jewellery repair services with a completion time of approximately 1 week. These services include soldering, chain repairs, clasp and fitting replacements, basic jewellery cleaning and ultra-sonic, just to name a few. Quotes and advice can be given on inspection of the item.
For more complex repairs, such as laser soldering, re-shanks, stone setting and claw re-tipping we use a local goldsmith with a completion time of 2-3 weeks from the date of the go ahead. All works are given a full quote before proceeding.
We can offer repairs to silver, gold, platinum and palladium jewellery. Some base metal or plated items will not be suitable for soldering repairs, but we may still be able to help; always ask a member of the team for advice.
Special occasion-
Why not bring back some sparkle to your rings with a full clean and polish, with prices ranging from £15.00- £45.00, as some rings will require rhodium plating.
Rhodium plating explained- all white gold has a slight tinge of yellow, depending on the purity, as it is essentially an alloy of pure (24ct) gold. In order to finish the white gold jewellery, a rhodium plating is used to give a bright white finish; which depending on wear and tear, should last about 1 year, sometimes longer.
When bringing any rings in for a full clean and polish, all settings will be checked and assessed for security of the stones, any chips or damage to stone will also be noted.
